Bakery Building
Toledo, Ohio
Project Details
The former offices of Seyfang Blanchard Duket Porter Associates were located in a warehouse building in Toledo’s Warehouse District. Built in 1900 as a bakery - Seyfang Bakery, the building became a warehouse in 1930 and served this purpose until 1988, when the building was purchased to be developed into office space and loft apartments. The existing building had been abused a great deal over its long life. Numerous owners had modified the interior and exterior for various uses. The brick walls were found to be the element with the most integrity. Smooth drywall was used to build the new offices within the existing masonry envelope. The offices adjoined the building’s entrance/atrium on the first floor and cover 5,200 square feet.
